An Historic Landmark  in Heathsville, Virginia

 the last surviving 1700's structure of its kind in Virginia's Northern Neck

 

The Rice's Hotel/Hughlett's Tavern Foundation, Inc. was created in 1990 by the Northumberland County Historical Society to oversee the hotel/tavern property donated by Mrs. Cecelia Fallin Rice.  The Foundation's purpose is to restore and preserve the court-house hotel/tavern and to research and interpret its history.

THE TAVERN NEEDS YOU!!   Remember:  the Tavern has something for everyone:   Quilt Guild, Blacksmith Guild, Tavern Store, office support, building support, educational programs, fund raising events, Farmers Market, etc.

Genealogy Project: Meets the 4th Thursday of the month in the Yellow Cat at 10:00 am, if you are interested, please attend the meeting.

Building Rental:  Please let your friends know that the Transportation Museum Building is available for rent.  If anyone asks or an organization would like to rent the building, please have them call the Foundation Office (580-3377) for information.
